The Mariah Michelle Foundation delivers women empowerment classes to young girls, in order to support and inspire those that need it the most.
Our Story
Growing up is undoubtedly the most emotional and confusing time in a person’s life. Bodies are changing, social norms are being established, and hormones are through the roof. But growing up as a girl poses a whole new set of trials and tribulations. During this period of drama and societal pressures, it’s important to have good role models. But for so many girls, they don’t have access to a positive sisterly figure with good advice. In inner city areas, hospitals, schools and churches, the young women there are often ignored. While some people can attend expensive camps or even take a class right at school, many girls out there simply don’t have access to those resources.
That’s where we come into the picture. The Mariah Michelle Foundation (MMF) travels around the Cincinnati area to deliver women empowerment classes to the young girls that need it most. We cover a wide variety of important female topics and give our clients the power to carefully select the classes that would benefit their girls the most. Everything is written and taught by our founder, Mariah Norman, a 16-year-old girl that knows exactly what to say and how to say it, because she’s gone through the same experiences herself. In an MMF program, we don’t simulate a boring classroom setting. Using entertaining videos, fun games, and thought-provoking activities, we keep our girls engaged and excited to learn! The Mariah Michelle Foundation empowers underrepresented girls by providing positive female role models and giving them the skills they need to take on the world.

Dear Readers,
When my Mom and I started this organization in January of 2018, we had one goal in mind: to help girls feel good about themselves. However, after doing some research, I quickly noticed something. The videos, statistics, and empowerment curriculums I came across all had huge gaps in their audience. Girls in inner-city areas, hospitals, and even churches and schools had been completely left out. It’s almost as if everyone was ignoring their existence. My heart immediately reached out to them. I couldn’t stand the thought of a little girl truly believing she could never accomplish something great, simply because of who she was or where she came from. Suddenly, we formed a new mission. We wanted to take these girls that no one else saw, travel to them, and help them find their voice. I like to think of the girls I teach as the little sisters I never had. We create meaningful bonds and share beautiful moments that will last a lifetime. What the Mariah Michelle Foundation represents is my true passion and I pour my heart and soul into every class I plan, write, and teach. Every girl that leaves a class of ours has gained the skills they need in order to take on a world that was built against them. And that’s all I could really ask for.
Love,
Mariah Norman
